I've been hunting for some PS1 game saves as my PS1 memory cards died. GameFAQs has many more saves listed for the. The PS3/PSP require PSV format to work, and I don't even know what to do with the gme files GameFAQs lists for PS1. I know I can use the Sony Memory Card adapter for physical memory cards (and I own one) but that doesn't help me here unless I can somehow copy.gme files with the adapter from my PC, then to the PS3. If I can do that, that solves the problem as well, but I don't know how/if I can do that.
How can I convert these PS1 saves (.gme) to PS3/PSP format (.psv)?

Sorry buddy I can't help with your Suikoden save file, for now I only completed Suikoden II so far with 108 characters I'll post it here when I have the time, let's just hope someone else in this forum has a save file and add it here, but for now hang in there, but back then as long as I remembered, I played the first Suikoden on my PS1, I load the file of the first one to the sequel with incomplete characters (I finished it with incomplete characters). That file will only serve to allow Mcdohl to join your party on the Second Suikoden but other than that, it won't affect anything else no other extras will be added, so it doesn,t matter whether or not you,ve completed the characters on the first one and load it on the sequel. Let's hope someone can help you here.

Suikoden 1 Walkthrough
You must not use secret weapons like rocket launcher, gatling gun and sub machine gun 2. You must finish the game at least under 1 and a half hour for the first scenario and under 2 hours for the second scenario 3. The number of saves also determines the rank, so I recommend using save states after you clear and save the game, just use save states if you want to save rather than using save points then just save it via memory card after you clear the game. Obliviously playing Suikoden 1, I was expecting to be able to transfer my data over to Suikoden 2 after beating it. Then the moment of discovery came when it didn't find the Suikoden 1 save file, which brings us to the technicalities of how pcsx-rearmed handles its virtual memory cards. Is it such that every game has its 'own' memory card, rather than how the real thing worked, with every game essentially sharing the same 2 cards? Naturally, if this is the case, I suppose the answer that I'm looking for is 'no', it's not gonna be possible to transfer data between games since they don't share the memory card, thus making it impossible for Suikoden 2 to see/recognize the first game's save file.

If that is the case, anyone know a way around that? Said in: Maybe I am wrong but you can try this: You can find the save file (extension.srm) next to your rom. So when the rom is 'suikoden1.cue' then there should be now also 'suikoden1.srm'. I guess you also have a file 'suikoden2.cue'. So you might try to copy 'suikoden1.srm' to 'suikoden2.srm' and see what happens if you launch suikoden2.
It might be a stupid idea in the first place ^^ Haha, it actually worked! I was skeptical for a bit because it felt a bit too straightforward a solution, but then again, I guess it did make logical sense. Sometimes the solution is far simpler than you'd think. Thanks for sharing the idea, so matter how stupid it initially felt. Nope, not getting any stutter here. I've been pretty lucky with things like that thus far, only getting stuttering when something happens in a game that demands a lot from the CPU, such as flashy animation sequences and whatnot.
I'm playing SII on epsxe (used deamon tools, cos' my file didn't work the normal way - mdf and mds files from emuparadise bittorrent section). Everything works perfectly now, as far as I noticed, but I have problems in getting the game to detect the Suikoden I savestate (downloaded from gamefaqs in.GME format). What should I do for this to work?
Is it possible? If it is not, please tell me if there are cheats for triggering this event later in the game and how to apply them (I'm a newbie ). I searched for it, but haven't found. Thanks for any replies!
Sorry for my english, if i did any mistakes. OK, it worked Here's what I did (for others seeking help on this): First I downloaded SOME of the savestates from gamefaqs, but they didn't seem to work. Then I had an idea (yay!) to set this savestate in epsxe as my memcard, but that didn't work either. Then I got really mad and downloaded ALL savestates from gamefaqs - I set those, one by one, as my memcards. Guess what - TWO of them have worked! (last ones, that is why I didn't download them earlier). I have no idea why some states work and some don't.
Maybe it has something to do with PAL/NTSC (I have NTSC S2, so the savestate from S1 should be from NTSC game too), but that's just my theory. The most important thing is that I CAN PLAY AND HAVE MCDOHL!
Thank you all for help! I found that out yesterday, but I played so long that I didn't have time to post, that I succeeded.
This is the reddit community for OpenEmu help and discussion. OpenEmu is changing the world of video game emulation. For the first time, the 'it just works' philosophy now extends to open source video game emulation on the Mac. With OpenEmu it is easy to add, browse, organize and with a compatible gamepad, play those favorite games (ROMs) you already own. Rules 1) Asking/showing where to find games (ROMs) and BIOS files is not allowed.
2) Don't post PlayStation (PSX) tutorial videos unless they follow the steps on the wiki exactly. 3) Posts about Pokemon games on DS will be removed. 4) Please flair your posts. 5) Posts that can be answered by reading the sidebar/Getting Started post may be locked and/or removed. Other Places.
Hi everyone, I could really use some help here, and any help would be greatly appreciated. I just finished playing Suikoden using the PS1 emulator built into this program, and I'm going to be playing Suikoden 2 using the same emulator Openemu provides. I'm wondering how I can put my save files into Suikoden 2 from Suikoden 1 so Suikoden 2 reads said save files and I'm able to access the content you get from that.
Given this is an emulator and not an actual PS1 with a memory card, I'm really not sure how to do this, on either Windows or Mac. I'm currently on a Mac computer with the Sierra OS. Again, any help would be so appreciated, I can't thank you all enough. EDIT: I can now confirm that it works.
Go to Macindosh HD/Users//Library/Aplication Support/Openemu/Mednafen/Battery Saves If the Library folder is not visible, while you are in right-click the white space between the folder icons and in the menu popping up, click 'Show view options'. In that window, check the box that refers to revealing the Library folder.
Once you open the 'Battery Saves' folder, as stated above, look for 2.mcr files (.0.mcr and.1.mcr) that have the name of your Suikoden 1 and some numbers. To avoid conflict, or data loss, do these first:.Move both Suikoden 2.mcr files elsewhere (you'll need their names, don't delete them!).Also, copy the Suikoden 1 saves elsewhere to have backups, in case something goes wrong. After taking those 2 measures above, copy the name of Suikoden 2 0.mcr file and paste it to the file Suikoden1 0.mcr in Battery Saves folder. Do the same for the 1.mcr files. After doing this, the game should open the files containing the Suikoden 1 save data and recognize the existing save data.
